On the occasion of his inclusion in the Observer\u2019s \u201cArt Power Index,\u201d Wolff talked to the publication in an <a href=\"https:\/\/observer.com\/2025\/11\/interview-andrew-wolff-beowolff-capital-ai-digital-art-market\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">interview<\/a> about his plans\u2014over the short and long term\u2014to consolidate access to data while aiming to \u201camplify\u201d the knowledge of market-makers as well as the artists whose work makes up the industry\u2019s core.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAsked what he sees as the most transformative shift in the art market, Wolff spoke about the move from \u201cstatic forms of power to a more fluid model of networked authority\u201d and said \u201cour younger generations are skeptical of centralized gatekeepers; they want access, participation, transparency, consistency, objectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\tRelated Articles<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artnews.com\/wp-content\/themes\/vip\/pmc-artnews-2019\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-1175160003.jpg\" alt=\"WHITE PLAINS, WESTCHESTER, UNITED STATES - 2019\/10\/10: Artist and Harm Reduction Activist Nan Goldin. (Photo by Erik McGregor\/LightRocket via Getty Images)\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"\" width=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tYoung collectors, Wolff said, \u201cwant to be part of a permissionless network\u201d that could be maintained by interconnected services. \u201cWe want to give collectors the power to participate in social networks in order to discover what art they like, what it means to them, how to value it and how to enjoy it with others. And we are providing our business partners with the software operating system that will enable their clients to do so in a safe and transparent ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWolff spoke of learing about a Chinese artist from Artsy, looking up sales data and reading about him at Artnet, and acquiring a certain level of \u201ccomfort\u201d and awareness in the process. But, he said, \u201cIn the near future, our technology will\u00a0allow me to learn more about the background of the artist and the symbolism of the work, watch a video that explains his creation process, connect with other collectors who share similar tastes and sensibilities, and generate predictive insights as to the value of the work in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPart of that will be by way of A.I. \u201cAt Artsy and Artnet, we are building A.I.-native tools and services to create opportunities and solve problems for our partners and clients,\u201d said Wolff, who added, \u201cWe embrace A.I. not to reduce the role of human expertise in the art market, but to amplify it. Not to steal the voices of artists, but to allow them to expand their reach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAsked to project out from the present, Wolff said, \u201cFive years from now, I\u2019d like collectors to move much more fluidly through discovery, valuation and transaction without noticing where one platform ends and the other begins. Whether that manifests as one unified ecosystem or several connected destinations matters less than the experience itself. For Beowolff, our north star is transparency, liquidity and empowerment across the full art journey, which will matter more and more as today\u2019s young collectors continue to develop their tastes and aspirations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOf the wealth of information at his disposal, Wolff said, \u201cData is a privilege, and it must be governed with objectivity and accountability.\u00a0As we develop A.I.-native tools, we are focused on using data to inform and empower, not to exploit or steal. Transparency must be balanced with protection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe continued: \u201cCollector anonymity, artist ownership of imagery, gallery control of transactional data: these all must remain sacrosanct.
