For the family of one young Limerick man, missing from his home for weeks with no word, the wait and the heartbreak will stretch into another week unless a major coastal search can turn up answers in the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Members of Limerick man Eoin Joy<\/a>‘s family are taking part in a large-scale search, as it continues off the Clare coast near Loop Head lighthouse today, in the area where his car was found at the start of this month. Naval Divers joined the operation today in very bad conditions.<\/p>\n

It’s now one of the biggest multi-agency search operations seen in many years in the area, with Irish Coast Guard volunteers from Kilkee joined today by teams from Ballybunion. It is a very long stretch of coastline and recent storms have made the job of locating any sign of the missing man very challenging. The Naval Service Diving Section have been in the water along with volunteers from Kilkee Sub Aqua Club.<\/p>\n

Drones, helicopters, boats from Clare Civil Defence and costal watchers have all taken part. Eoin Joy (33) was reported missing from Limerick city, Co. Limerick since Monday, 3rd November 2025.<\/p>\n

Eoin is described as being approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, of medium build with brown hair and blue eyes.<\/p>\n

When last seen Eoin was wearing a beige fleece, mid blue jeans, and dark trainers with a white stripe.<\/p>\n
