Kadokawa<\/a> revealed during MF Bunko J<\/a>‘s Fall School Festival 2025 special livestream on Sunday the first key visual, main trailer, new cast member, and April 2026 premiere\u00a0for the fourth\u00a0Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-<\/a>\u00a0anime<\/a> season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tomokazu Sugita<\/a> will voice the new character Reid Astrea, a legendary swordsman who lived about 400 years ago, the first bearer of the title “Sword Saint,” and the founding ancestor of the Astrea family.<\/p>\n

The anime’s returning staff members include:<\/p>\n

The third season’s “Sh\u016bgeki-hen” (Attack Arc) premiered in October 2024 on\u00a0TOKYO MX<\/a>, AT-X<\/a>, and other channels, with a 90-minute special. The “Hangeki-hen” (Counterattack Arc) premiered<\/a>\u00a0on February 5.\u00a0Crunchyroll streamed<\/a>\u00a0the series as it aired. Each arc had eight episodes.<\/p>\n

The 25-episode first\u00a0anime<\/a>\u00a0season of\u00a0Tappei Nagatsuki<\/a>‘s Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-\u00a0light novel\u00a0series premiered in April 2016.\u00a0Crunchyroll\u00a0streamed<\/a>\u00a0the series as it aired in Japan.\u00a0Crunchyroll\u00a0is also\u00a0streaming<\/a>\u00a0both the\u00a0Re:Zero<\/a>\u00a0~Starting Break Time From Zero~\u00a0and\u00a0Re:PETIT ~Starting Life in Another World from PETIT~\u00a0short anime spinoff series.\u00a0Funimation<\/a> released<\/a>\u00a0the television anime on home video with an English\u00a0dub<\/a>\u00a0in June 2018.<\/p>\n

The anime has inspired two original video anime (OVA<\/a>) volumes, titled Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Memory Snow<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World – The Frozen Bond<\/a>. Crunchyroll\u00a0began\u00a0streaming<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Memory Snow\u00a0OVA\u00a0in February 2020 and\u00a0added<\/a>\u00a0Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World – The Frozen Bond\u00a0in April 2020.<\/p>\n

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World–\u00a0Director’s Cut, an\u00a0updated<\/a>\u00a0version of the television anime’s first season, premiered in January 2020. The new edit of the first 25-episode season adds some new footage and reworks the episodes to run in a one-hour timeslot.\u00a0Crunchyroll\u00a0is\u00a0streaming<\/a>\u00a0the anime.<\/p>\n

The anime’s second season\u00a0premiered<\/a>\u00a0in July 2020, delayed from its original April 2020 premiere date due to the effect of COVID-19 on the show’s production. The second season’s latter half premiered in January 2021.\u00a0Crunchyroll\u00a0streamed the second season as it aired in Japan.<\/p>\n
