The BMW 3-Series<\/a> just celebrated its 50th birthday and to mark the occasion comes a limited run of special M340i XDrive models.<\/p>\n

Five styles of the 50 Jahre Edition cars are to be offered, each one a nod to a previous generation in its color scheme, combining paint, upholstery and brake calipers based on BMW Individual hues of the day.<\/p>\n

First up is the E21 tribute which comes in Ruby Red Metallic, with Ivory upholstery, and red calipers. To commemorate the E30 there\u2019s Boston Green Metallic paint, with Tartufo leather, and blue calipers. The E36 homage gets Avus Blue Metallic bodywork, Tartufo trim, and blue calipers, while honoring the E46 is a version with Carbon Black Metallic paintwork, black interior, and red brakes. Finally, the E90 is celebrated with Sparkling Graphite Metallic paint, Tartufo cabin, and red calipers.<\/p>\n

Common across all the birthday specials is Extended Merino Leather, which is a first for the 3-Series in the U.S.A. Inside, you\u2019ll also find carbon fiber trim, including commemorative 50 Jahre kickplates, and badging for the cupholder cover. A Harmon Kardon surround sound audio system is standard, alongside a curved screen and head-up display.<\/p>\n

An M Performance exhaust system is also fitted, together with a carbon fiber rear lip spoiler. A Shadowline package with dark trim for the kidney grille, lower air intake, plus adaptive LED lighting is included. It rides on 19-inch M Dual-spoke Bicolor Black rims.<\/p>\n

Power is from the 386-hp three-liter, six-cylinder TwinPower turbo motor with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. That\u2019s hooked up to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and sends drive to all four wheels for a 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds.<\/p>\n

The asking price for the BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre edition is $75,200 plus $1,175 destination and handling and first deliveries are due in early 2026.<\/p>\n
