{"id":147841,"date":"2025-11-19T07:22:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T07:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/147841\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T07:22:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T07:22:09","slug":"brookfield-seeks-10-billion-for-new-ai-infrastructure-fund-wsj-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/147841\/","title":{"rendered":"Brookfield seeks $10 billion for new AI infrastructure fund, WSJ reports"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">(Reuters) -Brookfield Asset Management is targeting $10 billion in equity for its new AI infrastructure fund, launching \u200ba new strategy aimed at investing in infrastructure tied to \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a>, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The Canadian investment firm has already raised \u200c$5 billion from investors including <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/NVDA\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Nvidia;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nvidia<\/a>, Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) and Brookfield&#8217;s own balance sheet, the Journal added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Reuters could not immediately verify the report. Brookfield and KIA did not immediately respond to Reuters&#8217;\u2060 requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Brookfield \u200csaid it plans to use the capital, plus additional co-investments and debt, to build and acquire as \u200dmuch as $100 billion worth of AI infrastructure, the report said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Brookfield, which has over $1 trillion of assets under management worldwide, will invest across \u200bthe AI ecosystem, spanning data centres, power providers and chip \u200cmanufacturing.
