Novo Nordisk announced Monday that it’s offering the first two monthly doses of Wegovy and Ozempic for one hundred and ninety-nine dollars.<\/p>\n
The discount applies to the two lowest doses of the medications and expires at the end of March.<\/p>\n
Additional refills will drop to three hundred and forty-nine dollars a month, from four hundred and ninety-nine dollars, also for the lowest dosage.<\/p>\n
The drugmaker has faced increased competition in the GLP-one market as compounding pharmacies offer less expensive versions.<\/p>\n
It says the discounted drugs will be available at Costco, GoodRx, and Weight Watchers, as well as many retail pharmacies.<\/p>\n
Rival drugmaker Eli Lilly is also lowering its prices for GLP-one medications.<\/p>\n
