Wing’s World Cuisine offers live cooking demonstrations at its Dublin location<\/p>\n

Planning permission has been granted for a large buffet-style restaurant at a popular Cork city<\/a> shopping centre that will bring several vacant units back into use. Cork City Council <\/a>has granted permission to Dublin firm YOLO Party Limited to open a new restaurant<\/a> called ‘Wing’s World Cuisine’ on the first floor of the Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n

The council approved the firm’s request to remove the partitions between several units on the upper floor and transform them into one large, amalgamated restaurant space. They also sought permission for the installation of a new entrance on St Patrick’s Street by converting an existing private door to public use.<\/p>\n

The main entrance will be inside on the first floor of the shopping centre, with the door leading to the street serving as a secondary entrance when the shopping centre closes at 6 or 7 pm. Planning has been granted for all necessary internal demolitions, the installation of a kitchen, new toilets and a large dining area.<\/p>\n

Wings World already has a large restaurant on Wolfe Tone Street in Dublin, known for special offers, cocktails<\/a>, and live ‘Teppanyaki’-style cooking demonstration shows. The vast menu offers dishes from around the world, including pizza and pasta, steaks, sundaes, seafood, carvery, and, of course, Asian buffet bites.<\/p>\n

On its website, the restaurant describes it as “casual buffet dining at its best: “At Wing\u2019s World Cuisine, you\u2019ll find an incredible array of freshly prepared quality dishes.” With the finest recipes from around the world, Live Cooking stations where you can watch our chefs prepare incredible dishes right in front of your eyes, not to mention the stunning interior.”<\/p>\n

This latest venture marks another boost for Merchants Quay Shopping Centre. Several previously vacant units have now been taken over by new tenants, with HMV making a comeback more than a decade after closing its Patrick Street store.<\/p>\n

The new Leeside shop will be HMV’s third Irish location after Dublin and Limerick, and is part of the UK brand’s big expansion plans for new brick-and-mortar stores, including locations in the UK and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
