{"id":151870,"date":"2025-11-21T12:07:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T12:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/151870\/"},"modified":"2025-11-21T12:07:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T12:07:08","slug":"robyn-kelly-to-captain-ireland-at-euro-u23-boxing-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/151870\/","title":{"rendered":"Robyn Kelly to Captain Ireland at Euro U23 boxing championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Robyn Kelly has been named as one of the captain\u2019s as team Ireland departed for the 2025 European U23 Championships in Budapest, Hungary.<\/p>\n<p>2024 European U23 bronze medallist, Kelly Ballynacargy Boxing Club will co-captain the team with James Whelan of Dublin Docklands.<\/p>\n<p>The team includes boxers from nine counties: Antrim (1), Dublin (8), Down (1), Galway (1), Loais (1), Mayo (1), Meath (1), Westmeath (2) and Wicklow (1).<\/p>\n<p>Kelly fights in the bantamweight division. Kelly is joined on the team by fellow Westmeath fighter, featherweight <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/sport\/othersport\/arid-41733675.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pasty Joyce<\/a>.
