When Breda Kelleher joined her local kickboxing club, she didn\u2019t expect to meet her future husband there.<\/p>\n

On a mission to improve her fitness, the Ballingeary woman said she\u2019d try out West Cork Kickboxing Club.<\/p>\n

At that time, Tony Stephenson was the instructor there.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter three months of training, Tony asked me out on a date and we haven\u2019t looked back since,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Tony grew up in Bantry and today the couple live just outside the town with their two daughters, Isla (7) and T\u00edrna (4).<\/p>\n

They were wed last month at the Fernhill House Hotel in Clonakilty.<\/p>\n

\u201cDamian Moloney married us. He did a great job keeping Tony calm,\u201d said Breda.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was such a lovely ceremony. It felt so intimate in the newly renovated marquee.\u201d<\/p>\n

Becky Philips sang at the ceremony, and her uncle, Marc De Zoten, played the guitar during the wedding and afterwards at the reception.<\/p>\n

The bride\u2019s gown was from Finesse Bridal Wear in Listowel.<\/p>\n

\u201cMags was the lady who looked after me. She helped me pick out the most beautiful dress,\u201d said Breda.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeautique by Aisling Daly, Skibbereen, did my make-up, Aisling did a fantastic job on myself and the bridesmaids!<\/p>\n

\u201cClaire Flynn in Bantry did our hair and also Isla and T\u00edrna\u2019s hair, they were my flower girls and looked like little princesses,\u201d Breda said.<\/p>\n

Tony sourced his suit in Quills in Bantry.<\/p>\n

Flowers were by Catherine at West Cork Flowers.<\/p>\n

The couple wrote their own vows, something they said was \u201cnerve-wrecking, emotional, and also funny\u201d.<\/p>\n

Their daughter, Isla, said a reading. \u201cShe wasn\u2019t a bit nervous,\u201d the couple said.<\/p>\n

Tony and Breda were joined on the day by family and friends including Breda\u2019s brother, Jerry, who travelled from Australia for the occasion.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad passed away five years ago so Jerry did the honour of giving me away.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of Breda\u2019s bridesmaids, Jodi, as well as Tony\u2019s aunt Jackie and uncle Thomas, along with his family, also travelled from Australia for the occasion.<\/p>\n

Tony\u2019s uncle Martin and auntie Mary, and their family, travelled from the UK for the nuptials.<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, the couple hosted a reception for their guests at the hotel.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe weather was amazing after days of rain and floods prior to the wedding. We literally couldn\u2019t fault a single thing!!<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the weather being good, we were able to stand out and the guests were able to mingle. The canap\u00e9s were delicious and prosecco was going down a treat!\u201c<\/p>\n

\"IslaIsla and T\u00edrna were flowergirls on the day.<\/p>\n

The bride\u2019s friend, Ciaran Seawright, made the couple a wooden three tier cake stand which they filled with cakes from the Stuffed Olive \u201cwhich got demolished\u201d.<\/p>\n

Music at the reception was by the Ian Hendrick Band.<\/p>\n

\u201cI must say, they kept us on the dance floor all night, we thoroughly enjoyed them,\u201d the couple said.<\/p>\n

\"TonyTony proposed to Breda in 2022 at Glengarriff Woods and they were wed last month.<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s first dance was to the Teddy Swims version of You\u2019re Still the One.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir work is amazing, plenty of pictures for the walls,\u201d Breda and Tony said.<\/p>\n

Asked what was the most memorable thing about the day, the couple said it was \u201ceveryone on the dance floor having the best time.
