First of all there was Dear Gay. Now, just in time for Christmas, we have PS Gay: More Letters and Memories from the Gay Byrne Show. Whether it is quite the exercise in gentle nostalgia that the publishers claim it to be is up for debate. But one thing is for sure, Gay Byrne was a hardworking man who generated a phenomenal amount of material as he presented five radio shows every week for decades, not forgetting the Late Late Show. And the RT\u00c9 archives is a big place.
