Wales head coach Steve Tandy told S4C: “You\u2019re never satisfied with conceding 50 points but you look at the way this young group have gone and attacked New Zealand and were brave in defence.<\/p>\n
“These boys are a tough group and really represented their country.<\/p>\n
“I don’t think we got the rub of the green but I’m massively proud as a coach.<\/p>\n
“Having three debutants is amazing and we can see in the building blocks of what this team can be.<\/p>\n
“That’s something that’s
\nexciting for me as a coach and the coaching staff that we can build on. I love coaching these boys.<\/p>\n
“We keep talking about the opportunity to be better and ultimately excite
\nthe nation around the way we want to play and I felt the crowd were amazing
\ntoday. The anthem was incredible and the boys really responded
\nto that<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s still not where we want to be, we don’t want to be
\nlosing at home and we want games to be closer.<\/p>\n
