Gathering new works and archival favorites, the exhibition takes a tour through the nation, guided by Dangoor\u2019s tongue-in-cheek gaze. Rich oil paintings of Grime icons, multi-medium odes to the art of sport and nods to car culture sit comfortably beside quaint Lost Mary cottages and playful spins on still life, each capturing the humor and contradiction that carve out the contours of a quintessentially British identity.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cArt is for everyone, but sometimes it doesn\u2019t feel like it,\u201d Dangoor told Hypebeast. \u201cI just wanted the vibe to feel open \u2013 whoever can come by is welcome and hopefully find something they are into.\u201d In addition to the physical presentation, the artist will be hosting a series of events and workshops, including a Salomon<\/a>-backed run club on each night of the show\u2019s run.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI think there is sometimes a feeling that galleries can feel stale and I wanted to keep some life in the space even after the opening night.
