As the scandal surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> rages on, Princess Kate has reportedly extended an olive branch to Princesses Beatrice<\/a> and Eugenie ahead of a major event in the royal calendar.<\/p>\n A royal source has claimed that the Princess of Wales<\/a> has issued personal invitations to her cousins-in-law for her upcoming Together At Christmas carol service <\/a>at Westminster Abbey, in a bid to keep the royal family<\/a> united during the festive season. This year will be the fifth time Kate has hosted the Christmas<\/a> concert, with the festive service aiming to bring people together to celebrate love in all its forms.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Meghan Markle’s royal claim debunked after candid Kate admission<\/a>READ MORE: Why William and Kate will keep George\u2019s secondary school secret until \u201811th hour\u2019<\/a> Various members of the royal family attend Kate\u2019s service each year to show their support and get in the festive spirit, but this year, the future queen has reportedly specifically chosen to extend the invitation to Beatrice and Eugenie following the latest drama with their father.<\/p>\n The royal sisters have been caught in the crossfire as their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has been stripped of his titles and honours, and booted from the Royal Lodge due to his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>. Despite their father\u2019s scandals, it has been reported that senior working royals are very fond of Beatrice and Eugenie, and do not blame them for any of their parents\u2019 indiscretions.<\/p>\n Royal commentator Neil Sean told Fox News<\/a> : \u201cPrincess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie received personal invitations for this year\u2019s \u2018Together at Christmas\u2019 from Princess Catherine\u2019s office. This is Catherine\u2019s project, and she has the final say \u2014 very similar to the way Prince William<\/a> operates Earthshot. Above all, yes, the royal family wants to be seen as united amid what has been a very difficult year.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the kind gesture of the invitation, the royal commentator warned that the sisters have now been put in a difficult position as their allegiances are likely torn. Neil Sean said: \u201cThis puts the sisters in a very difficult dilemma. If they don\u2019t attend, it looks like they\u2019re snubbing a prestigious invite. If they do attend, they know there could be a media circus with them at the centre of attention.\u201d<\/p>\n Beatrice attended Kate\u2019s Christmas concert last year, with both royal sisters also making appearances at the event since it began in 2020. The festive service will see the world-renowned Westminster Abbey choir sing some of the nation\u2019s most beloved carols, alongside musical performances and readings by guests including Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith, Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor.<\/p>\n The service will also showcase stories of some of the incredible guests in the congregation, who are leading by example and helping to create a more connected society.
