The alert comes amid growing fears that a bubble in a related industry \u2014 AI \u2014 is about to burst.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Speaking at a press briefing, National Development and Reform Commission spokesperson Li Chao <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-11-27\/china-warns-of-bubble-risk-in-booming-humanoid-robotics-industry\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> China\u2019s humanoid robotics industry needs to balance \u201cthe speed of growth against the risk of bubbles.\u201d Investment has been pouring into the sector despite there being few proven use cases for the bots, Li said, risking a flood of \u201chighly similar\u201d models as funding for research and development shrinks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">More than 150 humanoid robotics companies are operating in China, Li said. More than half are startups or entrants from other industries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The warning marks a rare note of caution from Beijing for an industry it has declared vital for future economic growth.
