The episode in question, \u201cGot a Nut\u201d, first aired on August 6, 2025. It showed South Park mainstay Eric Cartman visiting college campuses for \u201cdebates\u201d like Kirk, adopting his hairstyle and mannerisms.<\/p>\n
Deadline reports that while a re-run of the episode was removed from the Comedy Central schedule on Wednesday night, it remains available to stream on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
In the wake of Kirk\u2019s death, some MAGA supporters have blamed the South Park episode for his killing.<\/p>\n
The episode, which ends with the \u2018Charlie Kirk Award for Young Masterdebaters\u2019 being handed out, was described as \u201chilarious\u201d by Kirk himself in a TikTok posted on August 7.<\/p>\n
However, some of Kirk\u2019s supporters believe the parody may have helped to lead to the shooting.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know what, f*** it. Let\u2019s blame South Park,\u201d one wrote on X,.\u201cBlame the media. Blame leftist rhetoric. These people hate you and want to see you dead. If they\u2019ll kill Charlie Kirk and piss on his grave, they\u2019ll do it to any of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnny MAGA, a popular account with nearly 250,000 followers, said: \u201cSouth Park attacking Charlie Kirk\u2019s college campus events and mocking his Christian faith just a few weeks ago,\u201d and added a clip from the episode with the caption: \u201cMonsters\u201d.<\/p>\n
His killing stirred outrage and denunciations of political violence from Democrats, Republicans and foreign governments.<\/p>\n
President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has led a growing number of conservative commentators blaming the \u201cradical left\u201d for Kirk\u2019s death, despite the identity of the shooter currently being unknown.<\/p>\n
In an evening address on Wednesday, the US president said: \u201cFor years those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world\u2019s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we\u2019re seeing in our country today and it must stop right now.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity, and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials and everyone else who brings order to our country.\u201dElon Musk also laid responsibility for the attack on Democrats. \u201cThe left is the party of murder,\u201d he wrote on social media.<\/p>\n
Democratic former vice-president Kamala Harris said: \u201cI am deeply disturbed by the shooting in Utah. Doug and I send our prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family. Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe murder of Charlie Kirk breaks my heart. My deepest sympathies are with his wife, two young children, and friends,\u201d said Gabrielle Giffords, the former Democratic congresswoman who was wounded in a 2011 shooting in her Arizona district.<\/p>\n
