Bon app\u00e9tit! Katy Perry<\/a> was swaggering about in a garish new hat. She seemed to say \u201cLook at me, Instagram, I\u2019ve got a new hat.\u201d<\/a> The hat in question was a full Thanksgiving<\/a> feast, made of what looks like Sculpey. You\u2019ve got a well-brined bird, cranberry sauce, decorative gourds. The works, in other words. Perry captioned her Reel \u201cHatty Thanksgiving.\u201d This hat is great for Perry, because she can wear it next year for two Thanksgivings if she\u2019s still with Justin Trudeau<\/a>. Happy extremely belated Canadian Thanksgiving, everyone.<\/p>\n

The same week as Perry\u2019s new hat, the New York Post<\/a> reported on the singer\u2019s latest volley in an ongoing legal battle with a \u201cdying veteran\u201d over real estate in Montecito. Perry and then-husband Orlando Bloom<\/a> purchased a home there from Carl Westcott. Westcott tried to back out of the deal, claiming he didn\u2019t have capacity to enter legal contract while on pain medication for back surgery. The court found in the Perry-Blooms\u2019 favor in December 2023. Perry then countersued for $3.25 million for repairs, legal feels, and missed rental income. By then, Westcott was \u201cbedridden and living with Huntington\u2019s disease,\u201d per the Post. Perry is suing again, seeking $5 million in damages. At least this suit isn\u2019t against nuns.<\/p>\n
