Less than a week into their divorce process,\u00a0The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/a>\u00a0parents came together to celebrate Thanksgiving at\u00a0their incredible Georgia home<\/a>. Kandi confirmed the reunion via Instagram when she blessed fans with a heartwarming look at her family’s get-together.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy Thanksgiving!\u201d the\u00a0November 27<\/a>\u00a0post was captioned. \u201cI truly enjoyed my day with my fam. I hope you enjoyed yours! Now I feel stuffed like a turkey & need to lay down.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi Burruss explains why Todd Tucker was missing from her family photo<\/p>\n

The snap showed Kandi smiling ear to ear in the foyer alongside her mother,\u00a0Mama Joyce Jones<\/a>; her and Todd\u2019s kids,\u00a0Ace and Blaze Tucker<\/a>; her eldest daughter,\u00a0Next Gen NYC<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Riley Burruss<\/a>; and her stepdaughter,\u00a0Kaela Tucker<\/a>, from Todd’s previous relationship.<\/p>\n

Although the family looked so happy together, one couldn\u2019t help but notice Todd\u2019s absence from the group shot. Well, in an effort to preemptively shut down online chatter and speculation, Kandi hopped in the comments section to explain why her estranged husband was not in the picture.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore anyone assumes anything Todd came earlier to eat with us but he wasn\u2019t there for the pic,\u201d she wrote. \u201cHe was not left out or anything like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi Burruss dishes on her and Todd Tucker’s holiday plans<\/p>\n

Kandi teased her and Todd\u2019s Thanksgiving plans during her November 24\u00a0Amazon Live<\/a>\u00a0stream, when a viewer asked if Todd was \u201cinvited to the gathering.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes! We are having Thanksgiving this week,\u201d Kandi replied. \u201cLet me just say: No matter what Todd and I are going through, we are parents together, we are coparenting together, we have beautiful children together, so we are trying to make this transition as smooth as it can possibly be for our kids. That is our main concern. So we are keeping it very friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kandi went on to say that she and her ex also reunited for\u00a0their daughter Blaze\u2019s 6th birthday<\/a>, and intended to keep things civil for the sake of their children.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were both there to support our baby girl,\u201d she said about the birthday bash. \u201cAnd we are going to continue to keep that same good energy going for our kids. That is our goal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Todd also took to Instagram to share a glimpse at his family\u2019s Turkey Day celebration. He posted a video of his little girl, Blaze, having a snack and showing off her dance moves in the kitchen.<\/p>\n

Todd also posted a photo of his 9-year-old son, Ace, holding up the peace sign as he stood beside his baby pictures.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo grateful for this guy,” Todd captioned the Story.<\/p>\n

Kandi Burruss announces divorce from Todd Tucker: “Protecting my peace”<\/p>\n

The family get-together went down less than a week after\u00a0Kandi filed for divorce<\/a>. The Grammy winner confirmed the news in a statement to\u00a0People magazine<\/a>, more than 11 years after\u00a0she and Todd tied the knot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I\u2019ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cThis is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”<\/p>\n

Kandi Burruss says her marital split had “been brewing for a while”<\/p>\n

During her latest Amazon Live stream, Kandi revealed\u00a0her divorce filing was a long time coming<\/a>, but did not provide details on what led to the split.<\/p>\n

“To be clear, yes, I filed Friday, but this is something that has, you know, been brewing for a while,” she explained. “I’ve been going through it, child. Life has been life-ing me, OK?” But what I will say is, Todd and I were together, our marriage lasted 11 years, we were together like, 14. We’ve got two wonderful, beautiful children. I have no regrets. I mean, sometimes things don’t work out, and it just is what it is.”<\/p>\n
