Members of the Killarney Women’s Shed enjoyed seeing their photography work \u2018Timeless Landscapes\u2019 on exhibition at Killarney House & Garden where the winners of the competition were announced. The exhibition is open to the public. <\/p>\n

Photos of some of Kerry\u2019s stunning landscapes are on display at Killarney House thanks to the creative talents of local women.<\/p>\n

It comes following a photography competition by Killarney Women\u2019s Shed, which was the culmination of Digital Photography workshops, funded by SICAP funding, through the South Kerry Development Partnership.<\/p>\n

Photographer Michelle Breen Crean delivered the workshops, teaching a range skills related to the content of photos and the use of cameras on mobile phones.<\/p>\n

The theme of the competition was \u2018Timeless Landscapes\u2019 and being in Killarney there was no shortage of stunning landscapes to choose from as members of the shed developed their skills to put together a wonderful exhibition at Killarney House which was officially launched recently. <\/p>\n

The winners of the photography competition were also announced at the launch and included Fionnuala Lynch (1st), Anne O\u2019Keefe (2nd), Joan O\u2019Gorman (3rd) and Mary O\u2019Leary (4th).<\/p>\n

Their photos, along with the work of all the women, are on display in the exhibition room overlooking the gardens of Killarney House until Tuesday, December 2. <\/p>\n

The committee of the Killarney Women\u2019s Shed would like to thank Diana Fawcitt and her team at Killarney House for all their help in making this event so successful and they also thanked Michelle Breen Crean, journalist and author Breda Joy and photographer Tatyana McGough who pooled their expertise to judge the 70 photos entered.<\/p>\n

Michelle, Breda and Tatyana very kindly presented the prizes and launched the photo exhibition.<\/p>\n

The Killarney Women\u2019s Shed is about bringing women together, for connection, enjoyment, a range of activities and opportunities to participate in talks and presentations on a wide range of topics. The Shed provides an inclusive space for women, fostering kindness and support. It is also about social events, fundraisers and day trips.<\/p>\n

It meets every Tuesday at 10.30am in Spa GAA Club, Tiernaboul, Killarney.
