Diesel prices are up 4c a litre, with petrol up 2c in the last month, according to the November AA Ireland fuel price survey.<\/p>\n
The motoring organisation said this rise in prices will put real pressure on motorists, particularly those who depend on their vehicles for work, school runs and daily commuting.<\/p>\n
Unleaded petrol is now \u20ac1.74 a litre, up from \u20ac1.72 last month. But diesel prices are up by 4c in the month to \u20ac1.72 a litre.<\/p>\n
The price of both fuels rose in October also.<\/p>\n
Electric vehicle (EV) home-charging costs and pay-as-you-go rates, remain stable after increases in October.<\/p>\n
It is estimated there are close to 100,000 EV passenger cars in this country.<\/p>\n

An AA Ireland spokesperson said: \u201cWe\u2019ve seen a clear rise in petrol and diesel prices this month and that\u2019s going to be felt immediately by motorists who rely on their cars every day.<\/p>\n

The AA warned that some home electricity tariffs have been increased, which means some EV owners could also see their running costs increase, particularly those on night-rate or 24-hour plans.<\/p>\n

EV drivers need to be conscious of the tariff they have with their provider to ensure they are getting the best rates, the motoring organisation said.<\/p>\n
Bord G\u00e1is Energy, Energia, Pinergy and SSE Airtricity all hiked electricity prices last month. Flogas raised its electricity prices in August.<\/p>\n
The AA spokesperson added: \u201cWith both fuel and energy prices moving in the wrong direction, every cent matters.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese sharper increases come at a time when many households are already facing higher winter costs, making fuel spend an even larger portion of weekly budgets.<\/p>\n
