Brooklyn Beckham<\/a>\u2019s former girlfriend Lexi Wood<\/a> has lifted the lid on their secret relationship and shared her thoughts on the tensions surrounding his marriage to Nicola Peltz.<\/p>\n

The Canadian model, 27, said that she and Beckham quietly dated for \u201cmore than a year\u201d after they were first photographed kissing at a West Hollywood tattoo parlour in April 2018, just weeks after his split from actress Chlo\u00eb Grace Moretz.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when it broke out [in the news], we probably dated for longer than people thought, but because we were both young, we really did love privacy,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Despite their breakup before Beckham met Nicola Peltz in late 2019, Wood described her ex as \u201can amazing person\u201d and expressed nothing but goodwill toward the now-married couple.<\/p>\n

Wood added that she has met Nicola and her brothers and found \u201cthey\u2019re all amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn and Nicola wed in April 2022 at her family\u2019s Palm Beach estate in Florida, later hosting a second, smaller ceremony at the Peltz family\u2019s Westchester County estate in New York last month.<\/p>\n

But the lavish follow-up celebration has fuelled reports of a growing rift between the couple and the Beckhams<\/a>; parents David<\/a> and Victoria<\/a>, along with Brooklyn\u2019s siblings Romeo and Cruz, and even his younger sister Harper, were noticeably absent from the guest list.<\/p>\n

Asked about the family feud rumours, Wood chose her words carefully.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that you never know what happens behind closed doors,\u201d she told Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cAnd all I know is my experience and my experience was amazing – Romeo and Cruz are the best people I’ve ever met. They’re the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Brooklyn\u2019s marriage has become the focus of headlines, his former partner remains unequivocally positive.<\/p>\n

She shared: \u201cAnd I just think the moment that I met his parents, they raised such a great family and I’m so family oriented that that’s something that I’ve just always really looked up to and I hope to have one day. So I just respect them, I respect her family, I respect all of them. And my experience was really great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Woods\u2019s comments come after Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows <\/a>in New York in August without inviting the Beckhams.<\/p>\n

Sources later revealed that during his wedding speech he paid tribute to the Peltz family but made no mention of his own parents.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn and the Beckhams were last pictured together on Boxing Day 2023, with insiders suggesting the rift<\/a> shows little sign of healing.<\/p>\n

It was also recently reported that Brooklyn <\/a>has turned to his father in law Nelson Peltz for support as he looks to launch a new restaurant<\/a> venture in America.<\/p>\n
