California singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham<\/a> has teamed up with Fleet Foxes<\/a>\u2019 Robin Pecknold<\/a> for a new song. Listen to \u201cWake<\/a>\u201d below.<\/p>\n

Cunningham, according to a press release, first met Pecknold backstage at one of her shows. \u201cFleet Foxes’ melodies and songs have inspired me for as long as I can remember,\u201d she stated. \u201cI feel quite lucky to have been able to experience his genius up close.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pecknold also discussed working with Cunningham: \u201cWorking with Madison on this was a humbling and enlightening experience! We did maybe 10 takes where she played and sang perfectly every time and I struggled to keep up. She\u2019s a force and an inspiration; thank you so much Madison for pushing things forward so masterfully.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWake\u201d is the second single from Cunningham\u2019s recently announced new album, Ace<\/a>, which is out October 10 via Verve Forecast<\/a>. She previously released \u201cMy Full Name<\/a>.\u201d See the album details below.<\/p>\n

Cunningham will support Ace on tour next year. The shows take place across North America in January, March, and April. See the dates below.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Cunningham won the Grammy Award<\/a> for Best Folk Album<\/a> for Revealer<\/a>. The next year, she and Andrew Bird covered the entirety of Buckingham Nicks<\/a> for an album they called Cunningham Bird<\/a>.<\/p>\n
