Stephen Colbert roasted Donald Trump after the president\u2019s doctor issued a vague reason for his recent MRI, quipping it was time for his provider to prescribe retirement.<\/p>\n

During Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Late Show,\u201d the comedian weighed in on the topic of Trump\u2019s health after the latter couldn\u2019t explain the reason for his MRI \u2014 but defended it wasn\u2019t a scan of his brain, given he\u2019d previously \u201caced\u201d a cognitive test.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, it\u2019s true. It\u2019s true. It wasn\u2019t the brain. I did so well on the cognitive, they put me in the extra credit tube,’\u201d Colbert joked while doing an impression of Trump. \u201cSpun that thing around, took off my watch and my ring.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Colbert continued, he laid into the White House for scrambling to \u201cjustify\u201d Trump\u2019s rambling explanation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis afternoon they posted a letter from the president\u2019s doctor, who claims the MRI was given, \u2018because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health,’\u201d he said. \u201cOK, fair enough. Men in his age group also benefit from retiring. So, can we write that prescription next? Try that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also in the monologue, Colbert ripped into Trump for his Thanksgiving message, which he slammed as racist. \u201cTrump celebrated Thanksgiving in his traditional way with racism,\u201d he noted. \u201cHe posted an anti-immigrant rant that was so long he had to put in a dot, dot, dot, take a breather, and then come back for seconds. Somewhere in all of that nonsense, Trump attacked Minnesota\u2019s immigration policies and called Governor Tim Walz the R-word.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colbert then praised Walz\u2019s \u201csuccinct\u201d response to the insult, as the former Vice President hopeful wrote, \u201cRelease the MRI results.\u201d<\/p>\n
