{"id":171682,"date":"2025-12-02T21:22:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T21:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/171682\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T21:22:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T21:22:09","slug":"openais-chatbot-is-down-for-some-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/171682\/","title":{"rendered":"OpenAI&#8217;s chatbot is down for some users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OpenAI&#8217;s EMEA startups head Laura Modiano spoke at the Sifted Summit on Wednesday, 8 October.<\/p>\n<p>Nurphoto | Nurphoto | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/ai-artificial-intelligence\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a> chatbot ChatGPT is down for some users. <\/p>\n<p>The company said it is &#8220;currently experiencing issues,&#8221; including &#8220;increased ChatGPT error rates,&#8221; according to an update on OpenAI&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/status.openai.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">status page<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have applied the mitigation and are monitoring the recovery,&#8221; the status page said. <\/p>\n<p>OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment. <\/p>\n<p>Roughly 3,000 people reported issues with the chatbot on Tuesday, according to Downdetector, a website that tracks outages. <\/p>\n<p>The outage comes days after OpenAI disclosed a security breach at <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/mixpanel-incident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Mixpanel<\/a> one of OpenAI&#8217;s data analytics providers. <\/p>\n<p>The breach compromised user information, such as names, emails and other details tied to the OpenAI API.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI did not disclose how many users were affected, saying in a blog post that an attacker &#8220;exported a dataset containing limited customer identifiable information and analytics information.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI kickstarted the AI boom with the launch of ChatGPT three years ago.
