Carolyn Miles left her job to peruse her own business making essential oils. She makes all of her ‘Scents 4 My Soul’ products at her Huntington Station home. <\/p>\n
Her passion for holistic healing started when she was young. <\/p>\n
“I grew up with my aunt, and I learned a lot about different herbs from [her],” said Miles. <\/p>\n
As a single mother and school bus driver years later, an injury led Miles right back to those roots.<\/p>\n
“I tore my meniscus and had surgery. After surgery, I was still in pain. So, I sat down and made the natural pain relief. [I] rubbed it on, and within minutes, I was able to stand up and go up the steps,” said Miles. <\/p>\n
Now Miles makes everything from sleep oils to headache and migraine relief, all with ingredients sourced from around the globe. <\/p>\n
“I get my lavender from France, I get my clove from India,” said Miles. <\/p>\n
Miles ships her products and has customers from all over the map. <\/p>\n
“I have customers from Sag Harbor, Hamptons, all over. I even have a customer I’ve never met from Italy,” said Miles. <\/p>\n
She says she makes these products to help others. <\/p>\n
“I love what I do, but the satisfaction we get from our customers… you can’t put that in a bottle,” said Miles. <\/p>\n
