Gwyneth Paltrow mistook Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet\u2019s Marty Supreme makeup for real acne scars and suggested microneedling to improve his skin<\/p>\n

Paltrow later praised Chalamet\u2019s \u201cbeautiful skin\u201d and admitted the makeup transformation was incredibly convincing<\/p>\n

She also joked about her kids teasing her for not knowing Chalamet was dating Kylie Jenner<\/p>\n

Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a> thought she was doing her Marty Supreme costar Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a> a favor when she gave him some skincare recommendations.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old Goop founder told the hilarious story on the Tuesday, Dec. 2, episode of The Run-Through with Vogue<\/a> podcast, starting off by saying she\u2019s always wanted to alter her appearance for an acting role.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to playing older parts for sure,\u201d she said. \u201cIn Marty Supreme, Timoth\u00e9e has pockmarks, and they made his eyes beady with contacts and glasses. And it’s all makeup. And he has in real life, he has beautiful skin\u2026 I’ve never done anything like that where I’m really transformed in the face.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Paltrow didn\u2019t know this from the start of filming, which led to a funny exchange between the costars on set.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe made a comment, and I was like, \u2018Oh, you know, you can do microneedling for that,\u2019 \u201d she recalled, laughing. \u201cAnd he’s like, \u2018This is makeup!\u2019 I was like, \u2018Oh, s—.\u2019 I didn’t realize. The makeup was so good that I thought he had little acne scars.\u201d<\/p>\n

In reality, Paltrow said the 29-year-old actor has \u201cbeautiful skin,\u201d adding, \u201cHis skin in real life, you’re like, oh my gosh.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paltrow also was asked about her recent comments in British Vogue where she admitted to not knowing that Chalamet was dating Kylie Jenner<\/a> when he told her his girlfriend had two children. When asked for her own kids\u2019 reaction to this revelation, Paltrow quipped, \u201cThey don’t read my articles. Are you kidding?\u201d<\/p>\n

Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, whom she shares with ex-husband, Chris Martin, are known for giving their famous mom grief.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don’t remember how I found out, but they were like, \u2018Mom, you are so like, are you insane? How can you not know this?\u2019\u201d Paltrow recalled. \u201cBut I don’t know. I just, I don’t read that kind of stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chalamet and Jenner were first romantically linked in 2023. The reality star and makeup mogul shares daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3, with her ex Travis Scott.<\/p>\n
