He died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/an-garda-siochana\">Garda\u00ed<\/a> were alerted and the scene has been preserved for technical examination. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A spokesman confirmed they responded to a \u201cfirearms incident\u201d and that a young man died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">A firearm was seized.
