No one could quite believe the Spurs defender had scored again, especially with an unorthodox overhead kick. Newcastle United fans blamed Aaron Ramsdale<\/a> for conceding that one, but he isn\u2019t the only guilty party.<\/p>\n It was certainly two points lost for Newcastle<\/a>, and Roy Keane has had his say on where the Magpies went wrong on the night.<\/p>\n On the latest episode of Stick to Football<\/a>, the former Manchester United man assessed the Newcastle defending for Romero\u2019s goal with his usual brutal honesty.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, the Spurs equaliser last night, the second one [from Romero]. The Newcastle defenders\u2026 Why can\u2019t they read it?,\u201d Keane said. \u201cIt\u2019s coming their way, react!\u201d<\/p>\n Jill Scott then chimed in, saying: \u201cI can\u2019t believe it went in.\u201d<\/p>\n And then, with a hint of humour, Keane said: \u201cI know. The defenders are like surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n In fairness, he has a point. Romero\u2019s bicycle kick was not the cleanest or most powerful, and the ball practically trickled past Dan Burn<\/a> and Ramsdale before nestling in the goal.<\/p>\n The defending for both goals was poor, and is something Alan Shearer also picked up on<\/a>. But, it\u2019s all at the heart of a much more serious issue that has plagued Newcastle\u2019s season.<\/p>\n The fact of the matter is Newcastle are unable to hold onto results. They are now the team in the Premier League<\/a> to have lost the most points from winning positions, relinquishing 11 points so far this season.<\/p>\n At the heart of that, Newcastle have now conceded four goals in stoppage time<\/a> this term. Games are getting longer and longer, with plenty of matches going beyond eight minutes of added time these days.<\/p>\n Other teams are able to go the distance, so why can\u2019t Newcastle?<\/p>\n One of the big issues, it seems, is Eddie Howe\u2019s tactics. The Newcastle United manager<\/a> once again switched to a back-five on Tuesday by bringing Fabian Schar on for Lewis Miley.
