This app has been a simple but reliable way for users to check the forecast directly on their wrist. However, Google has <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/wearos\/thread\/372286976\/changes-to-google-s-built-in-weather-app-on-wear-os-6\" data-url=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/wearos\/thread\/372286976\/changes-to-google-s-built-in-weather-app-on-wear-os-6\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">now confirmed<\/a> that &#8220;changes&#8221; are coming and that the app is going away on Wear OS 6+.<\/p>\n<p>Google has announced it will no longer offer its Weather app for smartwatches that are running <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/wear-os-6\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/wearables\/wear-os-6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wear OS 6<\/a> or newer. Instead, the company is encouraging users to rely on the Weather app provided by their smartwatch maker or download third-party apps from the Play Store for Wear OS.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\" data-url=\"\" href=\"\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"f56514cf-0a92-428d-baa6-8c2751c73da7-2\">Google notes that this change only applies to smartwatches running Wear OS 6 or newer.
