In July, Khalaf, a founding member of the Gulf artist collective GCC and former curator of the Serpentine Galleries\u2019 Edgeware Road Project, told Experimenter\u2019s Curators\u2019 Hub that she was \u2018really uncomfortable to be named a curator for a really long time\u2019. She needed to get used to it, however, given the direction in which her career has accelerated. Her departure from Cubitt over the summer, after six years as director of programmes, is understandable in light of her workload beyond the walls of the London artist-run space. This includes cocurating the 16th Sharjah Biennial<\/a>, which included more than 200 artists and concluded in June, after which she turned her attention to Thailand to take charge of Ghost:2568, the third and final edition of the Bangkok festival founded by Korakrit Arunanondchai, placing works by the likes of Chim\u2191Pom from Smappa!Group, Paul Pfeiffer and Ryan Trecartin across the capital.
