An infant boy is in a critical condition in hospital after a collision between two vehicles in Louth<\/a> on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed and emergency services attended the scene of the collision<\/a>, which occurred on the R132 at Dowdallshill, Dundalk, Co. Louth at approximately 8.20pm on Saturday, December 6.<\/p>\n

The driver of the first car, a woman aged in her late 20s, was removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda<\/a> with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The passenger in that car, an infant boy, was removed to the Children’s University Hospital in Temple Street, Dublin<\/a>, where he remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The driver of the second vehicle, a man aged in his early 50s, and a female passenger, a teenager, were removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The R132 is currently closed and awaiting Forensic Collision Investigators to conduct an examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.<\/p>\n

Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
