{"id":179820,"date":"2025-12-07T19:40:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T19:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/179820\/"},"modified":"2025-12-07T19:40:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T19:40:06","slug":"infant-boy-in-critical-condition-following-crash-in-louth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/179820\/","title":{"rendered":"Infant boy in critical condition following crash in Louth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An infant boy is in a critical condition in hospital following a collision in Dundalk last night.<\/p>\n<p>The two-car collision happened on the R132 at Dowdallshill in Dundalk at about 8.20pm yesterday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed and emergency services attended the scene of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>The female driver of the first car, aged in her late 20s, was taken from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The infant boy, who was a passenger in the same car, was taken to Temple Street Children&#8217;s University Hospital where garda\u00ed say he remains in a critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>A man in his 50s who was driving the second vehicle and a teenage girl, who was a passenger in the car, were both taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The road was closed off earlier for forensic collision investigators to examine the scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An infant boy is in a critical condition in hospital following a collision in Dundalk last night.
