Ryan Tubridy has tied the knot with Dr Clare Kambamettu<\/a>, his management company has confirmed.<\/p>\n Speculation was rife that the former Late Late Show host planned to get married this weekend, with the Irish Independent noting that the loving couple were spotted in Clifden, Co Galway<\/a> on Saturday where Tubridy’s cousins Brian and Ronan Hughes run the well-known Abbeyglen Castle Hotel.<\/p>\n Ryan, 52, and Clare, 41, wed at a beautiful, intimate ceremony and comes as the ex-RTE star plans to take next week off from his Virgin Radio slot in London, with DJ Emma B set to cover his shows.<\/p>\n “Ryan Tubridy<\/a> and Clare Kambamettu are happy to announce that they have married in a ceremony with their close friends and family this afternoon in the West of Ireland,” a spokesperson for Noel Kelly Management confirmed.<\/p>\n Clare wore a gorgeous, traditional wedding dress with a gold-coloured belt feature, while Ryan sported a classy, navy, double-breasted suit with a green tie. The pair looked the vision of happiness as they announced the news.<\/p>\n Earlier this morning, a number of signs stating ‘Family Event’, ‘Private Party’, ‘Residents Only’ went up on the grounds of the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel, fuelling the rumours of the wedding.<\/p>\n A number of security personnel wearing orange fluorescent jackets were also observed in the car park on the grounds of the hotel on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n Tubridy announced his engagement earlier this year after O’D\u00e1laigh Jewellers in Clifden revealed that he had purchased a ring for a “very special lady”.<\/p>\n He popped the question along the Atlantic coastline, and the couple marked the occasion with celebrations in nearby hotels.<\/p>\n Speaking on his radio programme at the time, he said: “I’ve been keeping a little bit of news to myself… I’m very happy to confirm I did get engaged to my partner Clare in the west of Ireland.” He described the moment as uplifting, saying it made the world feel “lighter”.<\/p>\n Dr Kambamettu, a clinical psychologist from Athy, Co Kildare<\/a>, trained in London and rose to national prominence in 2010 after winning both the London Rose title and later the Rose of Tralee.<\/p>\n Tubridy also has his own ties to the festival, having presented it in 2003 and 2004.<\/p>\n His past relationships include a five-year partnership with former Rose of Tralee winner Aoibhinn N\u00ed Sh\u00failleabh\u00e1in, and he was previously married to broadcaster Anne Marie Power, with whom he shares two daughters, Ella and Julia.<\/p>\n The couple last appeared together publicly at the Irish Post Awards in London.
