Ireland may have a named storm in the coming days.<\/p>\n
Harsh weather conditions approaching the country are likely to bring further warnings on top of the Yellow Warnings already in place.<\/p>\n
Kerry Weather explained the coming system and the name that could go with it:<\/p>\n
“Storm update (Potentially storm Bram)<\/p>\n
“The latest charts are still showing a chance of a storm on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
“Yellow warnings have been issued already with the potential for upgrades especially in counties along the west coast.<\/p>\n
“Worst of the rain will be in the south and southeast with the worst of the winds along the west coast.<\/p>\n
“Any update to the warnings will be tomorrow when the high resolution models come out.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Met Ryan explained: “For the mountain goers….<\/p>\n
“Can see scope for slightly colder airmass as we go into the 2nd half of the month, so maybe mountains in Scotland and Lake District could see some snow.<\/p>\n
“Best I can do. Rancid outlook otherwise.”<\/p>\n
And Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel said: “Upper level status weather warnings expected from Kerry to Donegal along the west coast on Tuesday as a deep low pressure develops close to Ireland.<\/p>\n
“Wind gusts in exposed coastal areas of the west and northwest could reach up to 120-140km\/h on Tuesday between 6-9am through until 6pm.<\/p>\n
“Risk of thunderstorms tonight as well with a risk of some hail and squally winds. These showers will impact all areas but heaviest in the southwest.”<\/p>\n
