Cody Gakpo<\/a> is to spend \u201ca few weeks\u201d out injured, but Federico Chiesa<\/a> still has an outside chance of making the squad to play Inter Milan.<\/p>\n

Due to injuries concerning Gakpo, Chiesa and Wataru Endo<\/a>, Slot has a very thin squad for Liverpool\u2019s match against Inter Milan.<\/p>\n

His 19-man squad, which doesn\u2019t include Mo Salah<\/a>, features three goalkeepers and 19-year-old centre-back Wellity Lucky. <\/p>\n

Not involved are Gakpo, Chiesa and Endo, none of whom trained on Monday with the team. <\/p>\n

Slot explained that Gakpo \u201cunfortunately picked up an injury in our last game we played against Leeds<\/a> and he will be out for a few weeks,\u201d but he didn\u2019t go into detail.<\/p>\n

On Chiesa, who has remained on Merseyside, the head coach said: \u201cFederico is ill, so that is poor timing you could say, but yeah, it\u2019s not something you can do anything about.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are monitoring his situation. If he has an amazing recovery which I, we, doctors don\u2019t expect, he might travel tomorrow but let\u2019s have a fair expectation \u2013 that\u2019s not what I expect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked for further comment on the Italian, Slot laughed and replied: \u201cIt is difficult to be more specific. I don\u2019t know if anyone wants to hear what he exactly has!<\/p>\n
