A Co Donegal woman accused of importing cocaine into Britain is to stand trial but not until 2030.<\/p>\n
The woman, who is aged 49 years and from Inishowen, pleaded not guilty when arraigned at Isleworth Crown Court in London today.<\/p>\n
The woman was accompanied by members of her family to court.<\/p>\n
Her trial is now due to commence on January 7th, 2030.<\/p>\n
The accused was arrested at Heathrow Airport and was detained after 3.5 kilos of cocaine was found in baggage on November 7th last.<\/p>\n
She was later charged in connection with the alleged importation of class A drugs.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the National Crime Agency in Britain confirmed to us \u201c49-year-old XXXXXXX XXXXXXX from the Inishowen area of County Donegal, Ireland will appear before Isleworth Crown Court on Monday 8 December charged with importing class A drugs.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt follows the seizure of around 3.5 kilos of suspected class A drugs found in baggage at Heathrow on 7 November.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing the seizure by Border Force officers the case was passed to NCA investigators, who interviewed and charged XXXXXXX.\u201d<\/p>\n
