\n\tRussell T Davies<\/a>\u2019 first Channel 4<\/a> drama since It\u2019s a Sin has dropped first look images of Alan Cumming<\/a> and David Morrissey<\/a> as leads.<\/p>\n

\n\tCumming and Morrissey are playing Leo and Clive in Tip Toe<\/a>, two opposites who have lived next door to each other in Manchester for almost 15 years. But just as life should be settling down, the world around them is growing more tense. Words become weapons, opinions become radicalised, and gradually, two neighbours become deadly enemies in a tense, suburban thriller which challenges everything we consider to be safe. The series is described as an \u201curgent tale that brings a spotlight to bear on the prejudices which are creeping back into our lives,\u201d according to Channel 4.<\/p>\n

\n\tTip Toe is in the final days of filming and comes four years after It\u2019s a Sin, Davies\u2019 hit drama about the 1980s Aids crisis which garnered acclaim in America on HBO. Davies has since been working on Doctor Who and other projects but Tip Toe harks back to his early work like cult Channel 4 1990s series Queer is Folk. Both are set in Manchester. Davies has previously said Tip Toe is \u201cthe strongest thing I\u2019ve written,\u201d<\/a> describing it as a cross between Queer as Folk\u00a0and his futuristic BBC show\u00a0Years and Years.<\/p>\n

\n\tDaves said: \u201cWe\u2019re in the final days of filming, and I\u2019m so excited for 2026 \u2013 this show has some of the finest acting I\u2019ve ever seen, from the most splendid cast, and I can\u2019t wait for it to hit Channel 4.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTip Toe\u00a0is produced by Quay Street Productions<\/a>, with Davies exec producing alongside long-term producing partner Nicola Shindler (Queer as Folk, It\u2019s A Sin, Fool Me Once), Peter Hoar (Queer as Folk, It\u2019s A Sin, Fool Me Once)\u00a0and Cumming. The series is produced by Phil Collinson (It\u2019s A Sin, Gentleman Jack, Doctor Who), directed by Hoar and is cast by Andy Pryor (Doctor Who, It\u2019s A Sin, Gentleman Jack).
