Stormy weather will continue today with gusts of up to 90km recorded this morning. The country is set to see more unsettled weather after Storm Bram<\/a> battered the island.<\/p>\n Gusts hit 100km overnight, with Met \u00c9ireann<\/a> forecasting more windy weather throughout the day, however, this is set to ease in the evening. Temperatures remain mild for December, with highs of 8C to 12C.<\/p>\n While Storm Bram<\/a> has passed, a mobile Atlantic regime will dominate for the rest of the week and into early next week. This will bring a continuation of strong winds and heavy rain.<\/p>\n Today will remain cloudy, wet and windy for the entire country, with a M\u00e9t Eireann forecaster <\/a>saying: \u201cCloudy today with rain spreading eastwards through the morning and afternoon.<\/p>\n \u201cWindy too, with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds, reaching gale force strength at times on Atlantic coasts.<\/p>\n \u201cA clearance will gradually develop from the west through the evening, with rain remaining over eastern counties until after nightfall. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees. Winds will ease light to moderate with the clearance of that rain.\u201d<\/p>\n Tonight, any lingering rain along the east coast is set to clear, leaving a dry and clear night. However, night time temperatures will be noticeably cooler <\/a>with lows of 0C to 5C. Tomorrow will start off as a nicer day, with plenty of winter sun in the morning.<\/p>\n It will also be dry for the most part, with some widespread isolated showers. However, these showers may turn heavy in the afternoon with a chance of hail and thunderstorms<\/a>.<\/p>\n Saturday will bring heavy rainfall throughout the day across the country, which could lead to spot flooding. That night will be particularly wet and blustery, leading into an inclement day on Sunday.<\/p>\n The west and southwest will see the worst of the rain, with temperatures remaining mild with highs of 11C to 14C. The national forecaster said there is uncertainty about next week, but there is a signal that unsettled weather will continue.<\/p>\n
