\n\tCharlie Puth<\/a>\u2018s just gotta know: How long will these SpaceX launches be going on? After one of Elon Musk<\/a>\u2018s rocket missions lifted off at 3 a.m. in Southern California \u2014 terrifying the musician\u2019s family in the middle of the night \u2014 Puth gently called out the tech billionaire on X<\/a> for the loud disruption.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a post written Wednesday (Dec. 10), the songwriter-producer kept things cordial while describing how SpaceX\u2019s latest launch affected him and his wife, Brooke Sansone, who is currently expecting<\/a> their first child following the couple\u2019s wedding<\/a> in September 2024. \u201cHi @elonmusk,\u201d Puth wrote. \u201c\u2026these sonic booms have gotten progressively louder since they started launching the rockets in Santa Barbara.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis one at 3am today felt like 150-160 dB, violently shook our whole house, and really frightened my pregnant wife,\u201d he continued. \u201cI hope they do not get louder :\/\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt press time, Musk has not responded to Puth\u2019s plea. <\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard has reached out to SpaceX for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, volume levels above 120 dBA are \u201cnot safe for any period of time.\u201d Wednesday\u2019s SpaceX launch took place at 3:40 a.m. PT, with the company\u2019s Falcon 9 model launching 27 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.<\/p>\n

\n\tA disclaimer on SpaceX\u2019s website <\/a>reads, \u201cThere was a possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties may have heard one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experienced depended on weather and other conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe next launch in the area is scheduled for early in the morning of Dec. 14.<\/p>\n
