Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet addressed (but didn\u2019t answer)\u00a0the rumors<\/a>\u00a0that he is the mysterious U.K. rapper EsDeeKid in a new radio interview.<\/p>\n

In recent months, fans have speculated that the\u00a0Marty Supreme\u00a0actor has been moonlighting online as the balaclava-covered rapper who has U.K. hits like \u201cPhantom\u201d and \u201c4 Raws\u201d under his belt.<\/p>\n

When confronted with the EsDeeKid allegations in a radio interview with the U.K.\u2019s\u00a0Heart,\u00a0Chalamet first attempted to sidestep the rumors.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got no comment on that,\u201d Chalamet said before adding, \u201cI got two words on that \u2026 Two words \u2026 All will be revealed in due time.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s more than two words, but perhaps the \u201cdue time\u201d Chalamet is referring to EsDeeKid\u2019s\u00a0upcoming tour of the U.S. and Australia<\/a>, where the rapper has booked bigger venues \u2014 New York\u2019s Bowery Ballroom, Los Angeles\u2019 Roxy Theater \u2014 than you\u2019d expect from an otherwise obscure new artist.<\/p>\n

Chalamet did fess up to having the rap name \u201cLil Timmy Tim\u201d when he was 12. \u201cLil Timmy does not have the same ring to it,\u201d the actor said, successfully changing the subject from EsDeeKid. \u201cLil Timmy sounds like something else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Chalamet nor EsDeeKid has concretely commented on whether they are the same person or different people, with the evidence of them both being Chalamet (they both shop at the same scarf shop, they both had consecutive \u201cee\u201d in their names) outweighed by the fact that the name on EsDeeKid\u2019s CashApp profile is something different entirely.<\/p>\n
