A beloved restaurant in the west of Ireland has announced its sad closure, just a few weeks before Christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n Locals in Kinvara <\/a>were always fans of the Glass Door Restaurant<\/a>, known for their delicious chicken burgers and fish and chips.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, in a post on the The Glass Door Facebook page, the owners revealed their difficult decision to “not reopen.” One major reason was given for the closure.<\/p>\n Maura Derrane has RTE viewers talking as photos show lovely new outfit<\/a>Irish households issued with urgent safety warning for tumble dryers<\/a><\/p>\n The owners, Barna and Lorah, lost someone very close to them earlier in the year, and that loss shifted their perspective on what’s truly important in life.<\/p>\n Barna and Lorah plan to spend more time with their son, who “means the world” to them.<\/p>\n In a statement, they said: “Dear wonderful customers, After a lot of reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision not to reopen. The past few months have been incredibly challenging after losing someone very dear to us. It’s shifted our perspective and reminded us how precious time with family truly is.”<\/p>\n “As much as we’ve loved serving you buttermilk chicken burgers, fish and chips, and everything in between, our hearts are telling us to slow down and cherish the moments we have, especially with our son, who means the world to us.”<\/p>\n “We don’t know what tomorrow holds, so we’re choosing to live life to the fullest now. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every one of you who walked through our doors and supported us. Your kindness and loyalty have meant more than you’ll ever know. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, and hopefully we’ll see you around.”<\/p>\n “With love. Barna & Lorah.”<\/p>\n Former customers praised the owners for what they gave to the local community.<\/p>\n One said: “Your food was always top class and will be missed dearly in Kinvara. Hopefully, your doors will open again in the near future. Happy Christmas and thanks for everything.”<\/p>\n A second commented: “So sorry to hear this, what a lovely place it was.
