In a statement published on Gov.ie, the Department of Social Protection explained: “If you receive a weekly social welfare payment, you will get your payment as usual during the week commencing Monday 15 December, and an advanced payment for the following week.<\/p>\n
“This applies to payments made at post offices, by cheque or directly into your financial institution account.”<\/p>\n
If you’re receiving a casual or part-time jobseeker’s payment, it’s important to submit your dockets in advance as advised to ensure your payments continue over the Christmas period.<\/p>\n
If you’re receiving income support from the Department of Social Protection, please inform us of any planned absences before you travel.<\/p>\n
You can do this by popping into your local Intreo Centre or Branch Office.<\/p>\n
Details of the opening hours and contact information for Intreo Centres, PPSN Centres and PSC Centres during the festive season have also been shared.<\/p>\n
The Christmas opening times for Intreo Centres, PPSN Centres and PSC Centres are as follows:.<\/p>\n
You can ring them on the numbers below between 10am-4pm every day, except for Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December and Thursday 1 January. Normal phone line hours will kick back in on Friday, 2 January.<\/p>\n

If there’s a walk-in Public Service Card Service available, this service will be open until midday on 24 December. Walk-in availability might be limited for the rest of the Christmas period.<\/p>\n
