Nationwide presenter Anne Cassin has been announced as the tenth celebrity confirmed for the new series of Dancing with the Stars, which returns to RT\u00c9 One and RT\u00c9 Player on Sunday 4 January 2026.<\/p>\n
Cassin is best known for her work on RT\u00c9’s long-running Nationwide, where she has been part of the presenting team for more than a decade, travelling the country to tell local stories alongside Bl\u00e1thnaid N\u00ed Ch\u00f3faigh.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Cassin said she was “massively relieved” the news was finally out after months of secrecy, adding that she will spend the New Year “in the thick of it” as rehearsals get under way for the first live show. She also admitted she is “a complete rookie”, with her last public dance performance dating back to primary school.<\/p>\n
She joins a line-up that already includes Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh, The Traitors Ireland star Paudie Moloney, Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins, comedian Michael Fry, Fair City actor Stephanie Kelly, Ireland AM host Eric Roberts, singer-songwriter Tol\u00fc Makay, Olympic rower Philip Doyle and podcaster Amber Wilson.<\/p>\n
