{"id":191697,"date":"2025-12-14T18:12:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-14T18:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/191697\/"},"modified":"2025-12-14T18:12:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T18:12:07","slug":"concerns-for-pollution-as-14-crew-members-rescued-from-fishing-vessel-in-dingle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/191697\/","title":{"rendered":"Concerns for pollution as 14 crew members rescued from fishing vessel in Dingle\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The rescue of the crew of a French registered trawler stranded on rocks near the mouth of Dingle harbour has completed successfully amid challenging conditions this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The dramatic rescue saw at least 14 crew members winched to safety after the vessel went up on rocks mid morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Valentia Coastguard Marine Rescue Centre in Co Kerry co-ordinated the operation which saw the Dingle Coastguard, the rescue helicopter from Shannon, along with the coastguard\u2019s fixed wing plane, and the Valentia Lifeboat at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">However, there is concern now about environmental considerations.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Valentia MRSC coordinated a rescue after a fishing vessel ran aground at Dingle Harbour, Co. Kerry.
