Earl Spencer and his girlfriend Cat Jarman look full of cheer in a Christmas photo shared on Instagram.<\/p>\n
The couple, who met while co-presenting a history podcast, posed in front of the towering 24ft Christmas tree at Althorp House. \u2018A very Happy Christmas from @catjarman and me,\u2019 Earl Spencer wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n
It comes just days after it was announced that Charles Spencer’s estranged wife, Countess Spencer, had settled a legal dispute with Professor Jarman.<\/p>\n
Earl Spencer announced his split from Countess Spencer, formerly Karen Gorden, in the Mail on Sunday last summer, calling the turn of affairs ‘immensely sad\u2019. \u2018I just want to devote myself to all my children, and to my grandchildren,\u2019 said the Earl. \u2018I wish Karen every happiness in the future.\u2019 It is believed that their relationship broke down due to the psychological strain the Earl felt while writing his memoir, A Very Private School<\/a>.
