The explosive promo trailer<\/a> for the upcoming Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover, Corriedale<\/a>, has teased the characters in peril. The ITV soaps<\/a> are set to crossover in a very special episode that will have long-lasting ramifications for residents in the Dales and in Weatherfield alike, and fans have been speculating over potential deaths. <\/p>\n

Several episodes in the run-up to the special have teased links between the characters<\/a> of both TV shows before Corriedale <\/a>hits our screens on 5 January<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As well as 11 new cast members being confirmed to star<\/a>, the atmospheric promo trailer has revealed the details of a devastating pile-up<\/a> \u2013 and who could be in danger.<\/p>\n

The 30-second clip shows Kit Green taking control of the situation in the fiery aftermath of a multiple-vehicle crash, while Carla Connor attempts to calm an unseen character down.<\/p>\n

Emmerdale trainee doctor Jacob Gallagher tends to an injured Shona and David Platt, while Coronation Street’s paramedic Asha Alahan joins Cain Dingle to help more casualties of the collision. Two pregnant characters from each soap are also caught up in the drama, with Charity Dingle seen helping a screaming Shona in Hotton General Hospital.<\/p>\n

The trailer ends with Kevin and Abi Webster searching for Debbie Webster among the wreckage, while Robert Sugden and Joe Tate scream Aaron Dingle’s name out, seemingly to no avail.<\/p>\n

The ominous trailer ending has left fans wondering about the fates of their favourite characters in the aftermath of the crash, with many taking to social media to share their views. <\/p>\n

“So Corridale takes place on Aaron’s birthday I hope it’s part of the plot & not coincidence & not mentioned. Most of Aaron’s birthdays are miserable,” wrote one fan on X.
<\/p>\n

“I wish they hadn’t released that bloody trailer for Corriedale 1. I am now scared of who’s gonna die and 2. I can’t wait 3 weeks,” another user posted. <\/p>\n

“Ask me why my first thought when I heard they were both going was ‘oh no is Carla going to die?!? There must be a reason why they\u2019re actually both going,” a third pointed out in reference to Carla and Lisa.<\/p>\n

They later added: “Well after seeing that new Corriedale trailer, I’m more scared that Lisa will die.”<\/p>\n

Another posted an entirely different theory: “Yknow Belle has had a lot of involvement in the build up to Corriedale and not at all in the trailer, I fear Belle is going to die, Eden had her standout story I think she is a phenomenal actress that will move to better things and what an exit for an Emmerdale baby.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a fifth fan wrote: “My #corriedale theory is that Sarah Sugden will be one of the deaths. With the baby storyline building with Charity, it’s likely it all comes out in Corriedale, especially with Charity meeting Shona, who’s also pregnant \u2013 she might suddenly confess? <\/p>\n

“Sarah\u2019s lived her life always with the fear of dying young due to her illness, but what if that isn\u2019t what results in her death at all but rather some dramatic accident.” <\/p>\n
