EastEnders fans have said that \u2018it doesn\u2019t make sense\u2019 as the truth about Zoe Slater\u2019s daughter was revealed in a major twist on the BBC<\/a> soap.<\/p>\n Ever since making her return in September, fans have been speculating about Michelle Ryan\u2019s character\u2019s<\/a> past. After being accidentally shot by Jack Branning and Ravi Gulati, it was revealed in a flashback sequence that Zoe gave birth to twins in 2006.<\/p>\n With the father of the children\u2019s identity not shared, Zoe decided to place her son up for adoption and flee the hospital. Zoe was left heartbroken when she thought her daughter died after a nurse said she needed to speak to her.<\/p>\n Since being back in Walford, Zoe <\/a>has been on a mission to track down her long-lost son. Things haven\u2019t exactly gone to plan, with a number of shady private investigators giving her conflicting information about his whereabouts.<\/p>\n If that wasn\u2019t bad enough for Zoe, she has been tormented by a stalker in recent weeks. Sadly, no one believed her for a long time until a threatening messages aimed at her was displayed at the town\u2019s Christmas<\/a> lights event.<\/p>\n In scenes aired on Monday evening (December 15), Kat Slater was left worried when she found Jean had thrashed Slater’s home. Lilly Slater then revealed that it was Jean who was responsible for the incident at the Christmas event, but insisted that was the only thing her grandmother did to Zoe.<\/p>\n With Kat promising not to banish Jean away from the family due to her mental health issues, Zoe was understanding of her actions when informed in the Queen Vic. Zoe said she related to Jean\u2019s sadness, who has been distraught since her daughter Stacey <\/a>moved to Brazil.<\/p>\n Later Anthony Trueman helped order an emergency mental health assessment for Jean. When talking about Zoe\u2019s son, her former fianc\u00e9e decided to examine her medical records.<\/p>\n Anthony, who has been keeping pictures of his ex on his laptop, pressured a nurse to look into what happened to the twins. In the first big twist of the episode, Anthony realised that not only was he the children\u2019s father, but the daughter did in fact not die and had been resuscitated.<\/p>\n While this was happening, Jasmine returned to Walford after recently leaving Cindy Beale<\/a> in hospital after pushing her down the stairs. Taken in by the police, Jasmine was questioned on if she was related to the Fords, who Cindy has a turbulent past with.<\/p>\n In a stunning twist, Jasmine told the police that she doesn\u2019t have any connection to the police and revealed that Zoe is her birth mother. She said: \u201cI came to Walford to find my biological mother. That\u2019s her. Zoe Slater.”<\/p>\n EastEnders<\/a> fans watching the episode at home rushed to X, previously known as Twitter<\/a>, to have their say on why Jasmine would centre all her focus on bringing Cindy down when she\u2019s been near Zoe for months.<\/p>\n @RIVCRAS said: \u201cSo jasmine says she came to walford to look for her biological mum but she’s spent her time harassing someone who isn’t her biological mum.\u201d @discoballgrande added: \u201cit really seems like the writers only decided last week to pick jasmine to be zoe\u2019s child\u2026 they\u2019ve been walking the same streets for months with no interaction at all.\u201d<\/p>\n @babesmithh wrote: \u201cWhilst it was obvious from the start about Jasmine, it still doesn\u2019t make sense why she was asking a gazillion questions about Cindy when she arrived #EastEnders.\u201d @topham_cheryl stated: \u201cAnd why did she have it in for Cindy, pushing her downstairs? Doesn\u2019t make sense to me right now.\u201d<\/p>\n @chattyreality commented: \u201cnah cause the way literally everyone guessed Jasmine was zoe\u2019s daughter the second the actress\u2019s casting was announced, did they really think this was a gag?\u201d @ayomaurice_ posted: \u201cLMAOOOO nah I think they quickly changed the story line.
