While the Spy Universe has seen only Hrithik Roshan<\/a>, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh returning as their characters, the adition of Jr NTR to the mix may suggest a larger plot at play to link the films together. This also comes at a time when rumours are rife that Hrithik will also return as his character and make a cameo in the Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Alpha’. The development comes just months after the \u2018Devara\u2019 star made his Hindi debut in \u2018War 2\u2019, where he was introduced as an anti-hero and Indian agent. Sources close to the production reveal that discussions between the actor and the studio are currently at an advanced stage. <\/p>\n

Initially, reports stated that Jr NTR\u2019s character was expected to have a standalone spin-off film, tentatively titled \u2018Agent Vikram\u2019. However, following the mixed box office response to \u2018War 2\u2019, the planned film was reportedly shelved. Now, plans have been set into motion to integrate the character directly into the franchise, with \u2018Pathaan 2\u2019 setting him up as a high-impact chapter and maximising his pan-India. While casting details remain under wraps, Jr NTR\u2019s role is said to be far more substantial, with speculation rife that he may even play a parallel lead or a formidable antagonist who directly challenges Khan\u2019s Pathaan.<\/p>\n

About ‘Pathaan 2’<\/p>\n

\u2018Pathaan 2\u2019 is reportedly in advanced pre-production, with the script locked earlier this year.
