There’s a new winner of The Voice<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

After all the votes were counted, Aiden Ross, a 20-year-old from College Station, Texas, was the last one standing on season 28 of the reality singing competition.\n<\/p>\n

But it was a fight right up until the end. There was fierce competition from the four finalists chosen by this season’s coaches \u2014 Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/a> (Jazz McKenzie), Snoop Dogg<\/a> (Ralph Edwards), Niall Horan<\/a> (Aiden Ross), and Reba McEntire<\/a> (Aubrey Nicole) \u2014 but also the two artists selected by voters. This season, Team Niall’s Dek of Hearts and Team Bubl\u00e9’s Max Chambers were selected for the last two spots in the finale, which was billed as a holiday spectacular.\n<\/p>\n

Team Bubl\u00e9’s McKenzie and Chambers came in sixth and fifth place, respectively, while Team Reba finalist Nicole placed fourth. Team Niall’s Dek of Hearts finished in third place, which left just Snoop Dogg’s Edwards and Horan’s Ross. Then Edwards was announced as the second-place finisher.\n<\/p>\n

With Ross’ win, Horan’s record on the show is three for three, host Carson Daly noted. He has won the show each season that he’s been a coach.\n<\/p>\n

Tuesday’s final episode of the season wasn’t all about the competition, though. It was also a chance for the artists to perform with their impressive coaches and to look back on their time on the reality competition.\n<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Horan had to opt out of singing, as he said that a doctor had instructed him to rest his voice after a recent illness. He said he was feeling “a little better today” and thanked McEntire for stepping in to take his place.\n<\/p>\n

Fans also heard music from guest artists, including Zac Brown, who was a Mega Mentor this season; The Voice season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez; Neal Schon and Journey; and Noah Cyrus.\n<\/p>\n

After all, it was a big season with new twists.\n<\/p>\n

The Carson Callback Card, for instance, meant that host Daly could help an artist he felt was deserving. He used the tool on Ryan Mitchell, a 25-year-old from Los Angeles who failed to turn any chairs in his audition. When he returned with a new song, Mitchell was snapped up by Team Reba.\n<\/p>\n

There was also a new “Mic Drop” designation, which each coach used once to nominate an artist to perform in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade. Public vote determined the winner, which was Dek of Hearts.\n<\/p>\n

The night marked the end of Bubl\u00e9’s<\/a> three-straight seasons on the show. He mentioned Monday that watching McKenzie made him think, “What a way to go.” As the NBC series rotates its coaches, Snoop, Horan, and McEntire will be taking a break as well.\n<\/p>\n

The show will return for season 29 with a special format and be titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, starring artists who have coached winning contestants on the show: Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine.<\/p>\n

The Voice: Battle of Champions premieres Feb. 23 on NBC and will be available the next day on Peacock.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"There’s a new winner of The Voice.
