The family trio from Cavan Town, who won \u20ac17 million in the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday, are \u201cover the moon\u201d after their win.<\/p>\n
The Anglo Celt newspaper reports that the winners of the prize are a father, son, and daughter from Cavan.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued to the Cavan paper through James M Donohoe & Company solicitors in Cavan Town, the family syndicate said they are \u201cabsolutely delighted\u201d.<\/p>\n
The firm lead, Jim Donohoe, told the paper: \u201cThe family are over the moon. This is a life-changing sum of money to win. They are absolutely delighted.\u201d<\/p>\n
The family checked their receipt on Monday, and all family members were present yesterday to sign the back of the ticket before contacting the National Lottery headquarters.<\/p>\n

The ticket was then verified, and the family travelled to the headquarters in Dublin.<\/p>\n
The winning numbers in Friday night\u2019s draw on December 12 were 7, 25, 30, 37 and 41, with the lucky stars 5 and 11.<\/p>\n
It was revealed yesterday that the winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw in Lidl on the Athlone Road in Creighan, just outside Cavan town.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re absolutely thrilled to have sold the winning ticket to a Lidl customer, and just before Christmas too,\u201d said Lidl Ireland\u2019s corporate affairs director Eimear O\u2019Sullivan.<\/p>\n
The family syndicate has become the 19th Irish EuroMillions jackpot winner.<\/p>\n
It comes as two National Lottery players in Cavan have become millionaires in recent weeks after another lucky winner scooped \u20ac1 million in the Daily Million draw on November 30.<\/p>\n
