West is directing.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/andrea-riseborough\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andrea Riseborough<\/a>, Ian McKellen and Tramell Tillman\u00a0have also signed on, with the studio dating the film for November 13, 2026. Nathaniel Halpern penned the script, with Emma Watts producing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe classic Dickens story has seen its fair share of retellings over the years with its tale of an elderly miser visited by the ghost of his former business partner and the spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come. This also marks the second\u00a0Christmas Carol\u00a0pic announced this year after Warner Bros put in development\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/06\/robert-eggers-a-christmas-carol-warner-bros-willem-dafoe-1236431360\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">an adaptation from Robert Eggers<\/a>\u00a0with Willem Dafoe in line to play Scrooge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Depp version, a thrilling ghost story set in Dickens\u2019 London, follows one man\u2019s supernatural journey to face his past, present and future and fight for a second chance. While not confirmed, sources say Grint will play Bob Cratchit, Scrooge\u2019s selfless employee. It is unknown who the others will be playing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tStephen Deuters and Jason Forman are executive producers.
